THANK YOU FOR A GREAT RC FLEA MARKET

The FCRCC would like to thank all of the people who came to sell items at our flea market and those who came down to buy from our flea market.  Overall it was a great success and many many things exchanged hands.  It really shows that the RC interest is alive and well here in Western Massachusetts.  We look forward to this event growing in the future.  Look to come again in the Spring of 2013!!

NEXT EVENT:   FATHERS DAY FUN FLY 2012

Our next event will be on Father's Day 2012.   We will be having several laptops there running various simulator software and will have to training stations running where you can try flying a model airplane for real.   There will be live demonstrations of model airplane excellence including some planes flying that are just definitely worth coming to see including a possible showing of a half scale biplane complete with a smoke system.

NOTE:  we are looking for a food vendor for the event.  We would like to sell hot dogs and hamburgers to people.  No charges for you to be there, but you have to do the associated forms with the town.  You keep all the profit.  Just sell food to our people :-)

FLYING SCHEDULE REVISED

Currently our club meets on Sundays around 11:30 to 3pm.   You are welcome to come down at this time and check us out!  Club members are allowed to fly whenever they want other than at Football games at the high school next door (won't have to worry about this until the Fall 2012).   Soon our club will meet on Tuesday evenings, but at this time it is not scheduled.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND FLYING!

OUR CLUB IS A 7 DAY A WEEK CLUB IF YOU ARE A MEMBER.   This means that if you are a paying member, you can fly at our club every day of the week.

We will have general flying every one weekday evening (generally tuesdays) and every Sunday from 11 to 3, and possibly longer depending on what we have for planes and people interested.   If you are a member you are allowed to fly all the time except for the times where there is a Football game going on at the school next door.  Schedules for the Football games are under the "FCTS Schedule" link at the top of the page.

WE HAVE TRAINERS AND BUDDY BOX SYSTEMS set up so that if you want to try flying, you can do so with one of our trained members.

We encourage the public to come and check out our planes!  If you fly but are not a club member please feel free to come down to visit and you can fly as a guest.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. There ARE bathroom facilities at our location (AS OF JUNE 2012 UNTIL OCTOBER 2012).   Thanks to a TAG grant we are able to provide a porta potty for your use!
2. PLEASE do not go to our field outside of the hours listed above.  Since it is airport property the airport manager may ask you to leave.  We can have guests during our regular flying hours.  If you become a member, then you can come whenever the tech school is not in session because members have the right.
